The OE FS aims to enhance outcomes for families accessing Integrated Family Services within the Outer East catchment of the Eastern Metropolitan Region by using the collective skills and practice wisdom of all participants to continuously improve the service system.
Outer East Family Services aims to provide quality services to families that are inclusive, flexible, responsive and efficient. This service will be provided by developing respectful relationships to achieve positive outcomes.
The overall function of the OEFS Alliance is to promote vulnerable children’s safety, permanency and development in the community.
The OE FS Alliance supports the function, decision making and planning required for better outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and their families.
The OE FS Alliance supports the coordination of the wider service system and the implementation of approaches to service provision that apply the Family Services strategic framework. The Best Interest Framework focuses on the safety, stability and development of children, young people, parents and families which are at the core of the way family services practitioner’s work with children, young people and families.
We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, on which we work on in the Eastern region. We recognise their continued connection to the land, the water and the community.
We would like to pay our respects to both the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and their respective cultures.
We would like to pay our respects to all Elders who have past, and those that may be present here today.
